Established in Mersing by the late Capt. Gurcharan Singh and his wife in 1997, FRAS Flying Club subsequently relocated to Senai International Airport in 2001. FRAS has since grown into a leading General Aviation club in the region.
While originally offering Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) flight training, FRAS has since streamlined its focus to deliver high-quality private pilot training exclusively on the trusted and proven Piper PA28-161 aircraft, offering aspiring aviators and aviation enthusiasts an unforgettable introduction to the world of flight.
FRAS (Flyright Airsport) was founded in 1997 by Capt. Gurcharan Singh and his wife in Mersing, Malaysia. The organization has a proud and diverse aviation heritage in its early years involving microlight aircraft, static line and freefall parachuting, tandem jumps, as well as experimental aircraft building and training programs.
Capt. Ranjit Singh, brother of the late Capt. Gurcharan Singh, now leads FRAS Flying Club with a strong sense of responsibility and vision for the future. As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Accountable Manager, he plays a pivotal role in upholding the operational integrity and instructional excellence that FRAS is known for.
